PROTECT Top Coat

Film-forming Impregnation for concrete surfaces

Item No. 2750/E

FIELDS OF APPLICATION

PROTECT Top Coat is a film-forming impregnation which is designed to give concrete surfaces a high quality finishing and durable protection.

PROTECT Top Coat generates an excellent waterand oil repellent film on the surface which reduces the occurrence of visual damages like efflorescence and stains from food and beverages. Additionally, the protective finishing prevents from weathering through vegetation growth and UV radiation.

PROTECT Top Coat generates a satin shining finishing that deepens the primary concrete colour and gives surfaces a fresh and shiny appearance.

The impregnation is a very quick-drying product. In the manufactured concrete industry this quality allows packing the concrete products rapidly after application. Applied on concrete surfaces, this feature enables stepping on the surface quickly after treatment.

PROTECT Top Coat is suitable for all mechanically processed or finished concrete surfaces.

> Application as top coat on primed surfaces

Being part of the double protection system, PROTECT Top Coat ca also be used as top coat to previously primed concrete surface. PROTECT Top Coat reacts with the primer and generates a protective film which coats concrete’s capillary system.

WORKING PRINCIPLE

PROTECT Top Coat penetrates concrete’s capillary system and coats it. The film forming impregnation intensifies the concrete colour and gives its surface a glossy wet-look.

The film is not yellowing, is weather-proof (UVstable), permeable to water vapour and resistant against chemical loads.

DOSAGE | APPLICATION QUANTITY

Depending on the surface structure and its absorbing abilities the necessary amount might vary between 50 – 100 g/m² and has to be determined for each single application.
